Welcome to Open Registration Application for the Barnegat Township School District

Enrolling your child in a new school is an exciting time. At the Barnegat Township School District, we try to make your family's experience as easy as possible.

In order to fully register your child on-line, you will need the following information. Please be aware that your child's registration application cannot be processed until all of the required documents are uploaded into the system.

1. Original Birth Certificate with Raised Seal (Birth Certificate must indicate that incoming PreSchool student will be 3 years of age on or before October 1st & Kindergarten student will be 5 years of age on or before October 1st of the incoming school year).

2. Two (2) proofs of residency (e.g. lease/rental agreement, closing statement, utility statement [gas, electric, cable] or affidavit if living with a resident and their (2) proofs of residency). At least one of the documents shall be a property tax bill, deed, contract of sale, lease, mortgage or other evidence of property ownership. Pictures of envelopes will NOT be accepted as Proof.

3. Parent/Guardian identification (not to be used as proof of residency).

4. Immunization records and your child's most recent physical. (If you do not have one on hand, your family doctor should be able to supply you with a copy). Please note, if your child is new and has never attended school before or your child is transferring from another school within NJ, your child MAY NOT attend until an immunization record is provided. If your student is transferring in from out of the state or out of the country, you will have a 30 day grace period to submit the immunization records.

5. Transfer Card from previous school district. If your child is starting school for the very first time, this document is not required.

6. Current IEP (Individualized Educational Program for classified students) if applicable.

7. High School Transcript from previous school district, if applicable. Schedules for grades 10, 11 & 12 cannot be created without this information. If it is not received, it will cause a delay in your student's start date.
